Winter Accomplishments

AHS Winter Accomplishments

As the spring season arrives, we look back on our accomplishments from our winter activities.  This year was deemed especially great, as AHS sent multiple teams to the KSHSAA State competitions.  Listed below are the overall accomplishments of each activity.  Way to go, Cowboys and Cowgirls!


Boys Basketball:
  First place at Salina Invitational Tournament, NCKL 
Co-Champions, First place at Sub-State, and Third place at 4A-1 State Tournament.


Girls Basketball:  Third place at Salina Invitational Tournament, NCKL Co-Champions, and First place at Sub-State.


Wrestling:  NCKL Champions, Regional Champions, 4A State Champions. 


Scholars Bowl:  Second place at NCKL, Second place at Regionals, and Fifth place at 4A State.


Forensics:  We had 10 students qualify either alone or as a duet for State Forensics.


FCCLA:  We had two district officers this year at Districts, and six students went to State.


FBLA: We had eight students go to State. Elliott K. and Brayden M. made it to the finals.


Powerlifting:  Boys took Sixth at State, and Girls took Fifth at State.
