DS&O Scholarship
DS&O Electric Cooperative, Inc. (“DS&O”) will award TEN $1,000 scholarships to its members or their dependents pursing higher education in Kansas. There will be two scholarship awarded for each of the three cooperatives districts, one at-large selection and one for a student entering or continuing education at a lineman school. Recipient Requirements: Current high school seniors – must register as a full-time student for the upcoming fall semester and provide proof of such in order for DS&O to pay the funds to the school. Current college students – must have a transcript showing a minimum of 12 hours of course-work completed to-date. Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or 80% on a 100% scale.

Ivy A. Monk Scholarship Trust Program 
UMB Bank has established a scholarship program to assist graduating high school seniors from designated high schools in Dickinson, Ottawa and Saline counties in Kansas who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice. Award Amounts: If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,000 award. Up to fifteen (15) awards will be granted. Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients: Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal.

DAR Business and DAR Nursing Scholarship
Two $500 scholarships will be awarded to adults who are entering or returning to complete a bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Sciences or other Business Related Fields. The Abilene Chapter DAR Business scholarship is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of dependability, leadership, service and patriotism to women who want to return to college. These scholarships will be awarded to Dickinson County residents.
DAR Business Application
The Abilene Chapter DAR Nursing scholarship is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of dependability, leadership, service and patriotism to nursing students (or other medically related field) who are currently enrolled in a nursing or medically related program. The scholarship will be awarded to a Dickinson County resident.

The Kansas City Associated Equipment Distributors
The KCAED awards up to four annual scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each ($500 per semester) to up to four full-time students. Both men and women, attending a vocational/technical school, and pursuing a certificate or associates degree in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Equipment Repair, are eligible to apply.

- Applicant must be in good academic standing with a minimum 2.5 high school cumulative GPA, or a GED minimum score of 260.
